Wanli tires
Wanli tires
Is anyone else using wanli tires? Do you have a problem with vibration at highway speeds?
My rim and tire package is about 2 weeks old. I brought them back to the tire shop because of a vibration at highway speeds. They balanced the front tires again for me. Didn't fix the problem. I took them back again and they balanced all 4 tires again. Still didn't fix the problem. I watched the guy and all 4 tires are prefectly balanced yet I still get a vibration. I'm getting pretty ticked off.
They didn't install hub centric rings. They have them on order and I will have them on by Thurdsay. If the hub centric rings dont fix the problem, what should I do?

When I first put 17's on my car I had horrible vibrations too. It even made the steering wheel shake. We found out the problem was a spacer thing on one of the lugs in the front. It wore down eventually and I haven't had a problem since.
I don't know if thats whats going on with yours; someone with more knowledge with chime in soon but at least there is a possible reason to it.

it might be normal to feel a lil viberation on the steering wheel cuz if the low 45 series tires.. when you get thiner tires than stock you just cant avoid feeling more of the road at your steering wheel..
an alternate problem might be tha you need an alignment and thats making your wheels viberate at high speeds.. also check your struts they may be shot and causing the viberation cuz they bounce alote on the road surface when going fast..

GRRRRRR!!!
So this is what has happend so far:
1. Bought the rims/tires. Had them installed.
2. Brought them back for a vibration. They rebalanced the front tires and scratched the inside lip of the rims when removing the old weights
3. Brought them back again for vibration. They rebalanced all 4 tires and they scratched the inside lip some more, even after I told them about the front scratch
4. Brought them back again and had the hub centric rings installed. Instead of torquing the lug nuts properly, they used an impact gun on pull power
5. Went home. Loosened the lug nuts and torqued them properly. Broke the lug nut key while trying to remove them because they were so tight. Scratched my rim some more. Luckily I had an extra key and lug nuts (which I was trying to sell, not any more though).
Broken key

Scratch around lug nut hole (not really bad but ticks me off!!)

So in conclusion:
a) I still have a slight vibration.
b) The tire shop I went to sucks.
c) Wanli tires are garbage. Never buy them!!!
