why code P0522??

Post by daaboots » Fri Jul 14, 2006 6:32 pm

Has anybody else gotten this CEL code?

P0522 Engine Oil Pressure Sensor/Switch Circuit Low Voltage

Came on then went away. Does that mean the oil pressure is low? I checked and i have lots of oil and the filter was changed last oil change.

Any thoughts?

Is your switch leaking around the area where the plastic meats the metal?
The oil pressure switch is VERY common to go bad....

Oil level is right at full.

Not sure if the sensor is leaking. Not too sure where it is actually

I reset the PCM and it hasn't come back yet. I'm hoping it was just some kind of weird 1 time thing. donno.
