Problem with car

hey I just got my car about a week and a half ago and today the "check engine" light popped on when I left to go lift. Its an automatic transmission and it wont get going past 50 without whining and vibrating and feeling like its not clicking into the right gear.....any comments or suggestions to help with this I would highly appreciate...thanks alot -Tyler

Do you have the check engine light code?? Just turn the key to the on position (the one right before you start the car) really fast like 3 or 4 times and it should display a code for you.

how much should I expect to dish out if the tranny is slipping?

I paid 800 bucks for a new automatic tranny

If only I could have gotten the funding for a manual swaop

hey i just did a quick search for an mtx swap nothing on here any ideas for where to look or do you know the extent of the prodject......

Check out the engine section and i believe there is one other section as well that will have alot of info about the atx to mtx swap. Its on here, and plenty have done it.
