MM inserts -street style
MM inserts -street style
I have a lot of flexing in my drivetrain while changing gears, i want to install MM inserts, but i don't want additional vibration. how much vibartion do motor mount inserts -street style not race style cause? and how effective are they in reducing engine flexing ...

the streets are worthless, there is no resistance at all when they get pushed in... to me that means theyre not doing anything. atleast with the race inserts there is some resistance when pushing them in... there vibration is so minimal even with the race inserts
i have since moved on to solid motor mounts, after a week or two you dont even notice it anymore.... my vote goes toward the race inserts

I have the prothane street's, and they work well IMO. There is still some flex, but much less than stock. I noticed very little increase in vibration. Plus the red color looks coollatief wrote:anyone else have feedback on (street) mm inserts ?

I have the prothane race MM inserts, and they hardly made a difference IMO. stiffened things up slightly between shifts, and the only time i notice ANY vibration is when starting the car and when going from idle to driving in 1st gear. very very bearable. wheels still hop (stock tires) easily.

Street inserts pretty much did nothing for my car. From what I've gathered, they're mainly for preventing your motor mounts from breaking, not really stiffening the drivetrain. I had the Rex kit in it and I'm thinking about putting it back in. Sucks that the Rex kit looks like a piece of garbage.

Yeah, tried to order trans inserts and 6 weeks after I paid, demanded a refund because I never saw them.moxhairr/t wrote:The Transaxle Mount Inserts own the Motor Mount Inserts.

Could do it all day long with the R/T.. Had 'Race' Motor mount inserts and Vitors Transaxle mount insertsIfixyawata wrote:So, can anyone easily chirp second gear with either of these inserts? I have to wind the bitch out and SLAM second gear to get it to chirp. Hell, my mom's Focus chirps second and third easy.
