O2 sim for sxt?
does anyone know where i can get a O2 simulator as i do not have emmision testing here gonna run no cat, header, aftermarket srt exhaust. the car is a 04 sxt auto. I know casper electronics has got some for various vehicals. Any suggestions on exhaust ideas would be great, i have dual tuner mufflers on it now but hate the install the muffler shop did, i was thinkin header no cat 2.5 inch hushpower flowmaster underneath into srt exhaust. i was thinkin the hush power will quit it down a bit and still offer great flow and a differnt sound then the usual glasspack or tuner cans out back. Also what is the normal route for tuning the pcm, i.e mopar replacment, howell automotive, pcmforless, etc. will post picks of current exhaust later today. and of the car of course. p.s. great site lots of info.
BEER is the answer! but i forgot the question....

dont get a downstream sim... if you have two, just cap off that particular thread... only on the highway (when you maintain a set rpm and throttle angle for an extended period of time) will the downstream o2 (p0140) appear.... it comes and goes every few days or so, ive been running without one for well over a year
when you go in for emissions/inspections just make sure to unplug the battery and make sure you dont trip the CEL right before you go in for testing
otherwise youre good, no driveability issues, no gas mileage difference, etc
the downstream o2 is essentially just to check the effieciency of the catylytic converter... under most circumstances, specifically city driving, youre constantly on/off gas, shifting, etc and since there are so many variables in ownt know that its not there

let me get this stright you are saying you pulled ur post cat o2 then plugged the hole? if i am correct dosent the o2 sensor heat up very hot? not something i want dangling around under my car, why hasnt anybody tried an o2 sim they work grwat on s-10's though thats a diff animal, it's not gonna be acceptable to be throwin codes i would go crazy (OCD)! if there are no posible solutuions a high flow cat would throw codes as well. just tryin to plan out stuff.

simple fix.... unclip the downstream o2... the clip resides on top of the subframe on the driver's side leaving you with about 12" of wire and the downstream o2..... now to make sure the metal contacts dont corrode inside the clip source another downstream o2 (working or not it doesnt matter, so get one from a junkyard if possible to save money).... just cut the o2 sensor and wires off leaving you with JUST the clip, simply plug that clip into the end of the clip residing ontop of the subframe mentioned earlier
that way you wont have to hack up any stock wires or any $$$$ o2 sensors, and by sealing up that clip you elminate the possibility of the contacts on the other side of the clip from corroding over the years
i dont see what the prob with a CEL is as long as it doesnt affect driveability and i can quick erase it prior to emissions.... unless you drive ONLY the highway you wont see the code really.... like i said its only when you mantain constant throttle and rpm that itll come up
from what ive heard the o2 sims work only for the 1g

This one is featured in the October 06 Hot Rod Magazine in the article '25 parts under $250'.
http://www.o2sensorsimulator.com/
Costs $25 and they say it works on all cars except Acura. Audi, Volkswagen and Hemi Dodge.
If it dosn't work they'll refund your money. Anyone here try it?

Looks and sounds legit - and for 25$ could be worth it for non-cat users and LT headers, etc..
