ok i have about 4 questions that should be simple to answer

im planning on doing a 2.4 head swap soon and im looking for a head now but id like to get some info before i do it.

1. headgasket? im decideing to use either a mopar headgasket or srt4 head gasket? will the srt head gasket fit (i have 2000 2.0 es)?.

2. when i get the head id like to build it up, when i get valve springs is it nesscary to get the retainers to? ( im planning on boosting it)

3. .20 bore over, is that when you bore out your cylinder walls? i see they have the .20 bore over pistons and im wondering if those would fit on a 2.0 bottom end or does the bottom end have to be bored to fit .20 bore over? im assuming so but i thought id ask.

4. i forgot the 4th while i was typing but when i remember ill ask it.

You wont be able to use the SRT headgasker due to different oil and coolant drainback holes, just use the MOPAR headgasket.

I would rebuild it with the complete PT Cruiser valvetrain, roughly $180 through discounted sites.

If you want to use overbored pistons you must overbore your block.

Also, if you want DOHC, you dont really have to use a 2.4 head, you can use the 2.0 head as well. They are one in the same.

The PT valve train is only for the dohc motors.

While thats true, he is planning a 2.4L head swap. All 2.4L's are DOHC.

There is no reason why you should consider on converting your head to a DOHC. DCx fased out the 2.0 DOHC since the MAG head put out the same numbers on the 2.0....
Caustic is selling a great Mag head the last I knew, with crane springs and retainers. Ive got a 2.4 head that needs repair in the forsale section and also on ebay if your interested....
