Brainstorming on home made security features

I was thinking while I was at work about security features that are really easy to do without any computer components. Just switches for instance.

Like the other day we took out the gas tank in my CRX to overhaul the fuel system, and I was thinking about the fuel pump wiring. I kind of wanted to rig something up like the Sentry system the neons have and I came up with running a switch in the power line to the fuel pump. I'd hide the switch somewhere and whenever I'm parked in a bad neighborhood I'd just flip the switch to the off position, so even if someone broke into my car and tried to start it, the pump wouldn't get power.

Anyone else have any cool cheap security ideas?

I know that you usually shouldn't divulge security system ideas, but these are more like cheap mods IMO.

One problem.....more and more cars are being towed away then broken into and driven away. If you want your car to be there in the morning, take a real big eye hook and anchor it into the ground or concret, then attach a chain to it then to your car.

he is right in MD thats how show cars and race worthy cars are being stolen they just get a tow truck , black electric tape the logos and just haul your car off, it could be broad daylight with people watching.

THE best is get bags and slam the car to the ground now see if they can tow that. lol
