hey its starting to get cold up here and as the windows go up so does the volume in my car...SRT-4 catback has just become the most annoying sounds ever...
i wanna put my stock r/t stuff back on but i can get the hangers off...does anyone have any tips...i think they wont expand now cause its so cold.
also can i just put my r/t axleback on the srt4 midpipe (maybe with a 2.5 > 2.1/4 adaptor)
thanks

Yes, you can put your RT muffler on SRT mid pipe without adaptor.
I have this setup with my SXT oem muffler and SRT mid pipe now.

to get the hangers off, the easiest way is to use a special little tool... no idea what it's called, but i see people use them at exhaust shops all the time...
they remind me almost of pliers
*shrugs* yepp, i'm of no help.

Give the rubber a twist on the hanger to break it free, then wedge a mediumish sized screwdriver in between the hangar and the rubber. Should be able to pry it out no problem.
Even with the windows up my exhaust sounds great. The only time it really gets annoying is when I'm driving back home through the hills. The drone of that thing for minutes on end while constantly loaded at 3k or sometimes even 4400 to climb the hills gets a bit tiring after the first couple of hours.

Those rubber hangers aren't much good after they have been removed and stretched a couple times or so. I had problems with this and the exhaust moving to much and hitting things. So if your pullen on them a bit you might want to get new ones as well. - sorry don't know anything about the actual question but I thought I might mention this.

the easiest way to get them off is to use a big flat head screw driver to pry the boot off the hanger, squirt some wd-40 in it so it will be easier to slide off. no special tool needed, just a big flat head screw driver. then when puttin the rubber boots back in, use some more wd-40.

the srt's and non-srts are all the same (2 1/4") piping. every section is the same. so if you want to put a r/t muffler on, slide your stocker off and slide it on. samething goes for the srt catback.

finally attempted this shit haha
bought the wrong adaptor twice, i feel like the tool of the day
and they ended up closing so i've been driving around with no rear section...kinda cool lol
anyways tommorow i'll be buying 2 1/8'' peice becuase all those 2'' to 2.5'' dont work
so frustrating

erm...unless u have a special exhaust, all the piping should be 2.25", not 2.0 or 2.5..
