Hood inside car

Post by SlvrACR » Sun Nov 05, 2006 12:12 am

I know this sounds dumb but I fit a 1st gen hood in my 1st gen without problems. I have to pick up my new hood and I was wondering if I can fit my 2nd gen hood inside the car with the seats still in it. Has anyone tryed this? LOL

I fit a hood for my Ford Escort in the back, and its hood is bigger than the Neon's - so I say yes. I had to go with the windows down, but the Neon hood will probabbly fit with them up since it is smaller.

How do you do it? Through the front door or back?

Put down the back seats, insert the hood upside down into the trunk at an angle and sideways....
Thats how I got my SRT hood home....

haha, its times like these i really miss the two doorness of my first gen :) i actually did move a hood in it and it fit fine through those huge front doors... never tried it in the 2gns, but i did move my srt bumper around a couple times, and i'd always fit it through the back door, with the seats flat on their back....

i did it .. the front of the hood that would be the front of the car. when u put the hood in the back seat..u put it up into rear deck area.. and the points will go down to the bottom.. it will feel like ur doors dont wanna close..but just be gentle..they will close..

Because it's just hilarious!

I'm just trying to visualize someone stuffing a hood into their car!

I fit mine in the backseat. It was too big for the trunk.
