cars got almost 55k on it. and its staerting to stutter. i just changed the plugs, and that helped for a day, then went back to the same shit. on acceleration, it misfires and stutters. and ou can hear it miss at an idle too. plug wires? coil? somethign else? my friend has an extra coil laying at his house taht im gonna try and see if that fixes it, if not, im gonna buy some wires from modern. is there anyhtign else i should be lookign at?
which wires aer the better buy? MSD? Crane? Magnecore? i had MSDs on the white car for a while, but one of them went bad after like...... 6 months or so IIRC...

did you wire up your a/f gauge yet? if so, make sure you wired it correctly because your car might think the o2 sensor isnt working properly, it doesnt ALWAYS throw a cel. I first wired my o2 wrong and had problems like that. make sure you have it hooked up correctly and the connections are good and you should be good to go.
if this is happening and you havent messed with the o2 yet. check your sparkplugs for oil, if there is some, replace the tube seals, you can buy a valve cover gasket from an auto parts store and it should come with seals for everything around the valvecover area. wires are a shot in the dark as far as performance, cuz it doesnt really give you anything better, just a potentially smoother idle. I had Taylor spiro wires on mine for a while. then my valve cover and tube seals blew up and flooded a spark tube with oil. Which also should have ruined that plug wire. I replaced the gaskets and seals, bought new plugs and wires. I replaced my wires with an autoparts store performance wire and the car ran nicer with my 'ruined' wires than with the new ones. but you're not going to really notice a difference between different aftermarket wires.....
sorry that was so long.

Sorry but what does IIRC mean?

IIRC = if I recall correctly
If I were to buy wires again I would go with MSD - best name in that business (mind you this based on personal opinion, not hard fact). Crane is a good choice too, but I bought a cheaper set of Taylor 8mm plugs and they do grrrrrrrrrreat.

I think you got a bad tank of gas.
My car did that once, i switched octanes for a tank, and went back, ran fine.

the plugs were clean for oil. its my 00 thats getting oil on the plugs. btu im not worried botu that car. and the car was doing it before the header/cat/o2 sensors were touched.
i guess ill try seafoam and a new set of wires.... the coil pack my buddy let me borrow is for a 1g adn wont work on my car. so ill start cheap and work my way up. upgrading/testing for fixes.....

if you havent changed your wires recently do that. i had a pretty wicked stumble every now and again. so bad it would kill the cruise. put new plugs and wires in and it was all better.

Tried running some injector cleaner though? Can't hurt just to eliminate that as one of the possible problems.

Most of the after-market wires are just fine even if you jst get them from an auto parts store no name. The Magnecore, Crane, MSD, Accel are just fine all good.
