Ok, I just got my car back from the shop. They did a thorough job changing the belt, wp, and the tensioner but I couldn't help but notice the squeeking noise big time when I press the gas. But the car is more responsive now and I guess "peppier" in the engine department.
You guys think the belt was either too tight or too loose? Hopefully no harm was done since it did threw some codes P1684 and I think P1309.

When it came to my old 2.2's the noise you described sounds like the timing belt is advanced one tooth. I would get it checked ASAP since our motors ARE interferience engines...Cricky1224 wrote:I searched and P1390 sounds like a skip with the tooth of the belt. It sounds like timing's off so hopefully I'll get this fixed over the weekend.
