I put 93 Octane in my 03 R/T all the time. I get an average of 25 MPG mostly city driving. Is this normal consumption for an R/T? I calculate every fill up. Miles driven, gallons filled, price per gallon, total price, octane rating. ( I like to keep track of my fuel consumption) Highest I ever got was 30.2 on the interstate driving about 300 miles to the tank. Seems awfully low to me.

25mpg city is good. dont worry about it. 30 mpg in an r/t on the highway isnt that bad either.
the epa ratings on the window stickers are approximations. if you look below the the big numbers, in smaller print it gives a range of what is to be considered acceptable fuel consumption.
iirc on my sxt it says that anywhere from 27 - 42 is reasonable for highway. and 20 to 30 is reasonable for city. or atleast somewhere in that area. i would expect the r/t to be less because of the 3.94 trans.
i would say you are in the acceptable fuel economy range.

I used to go 310 + miles on 10 gallons but ever sincei it was mandated that all fuel here have 10% ethanol in it, it's gone down below 300.
Makes sense, put alcohol in our gas so we're less dependent on imported oil but then import all the alcohol anyway... idiots.

33mpg at an avg. speed of 75mph highway 87 octane. I have actually gotten less maybe 30-28 on 93 octane.

That's fine. Since the beginning of 2006, I've averaged 24.87 mpg in my 3spd ATX. I have records if you'd like to see.

I've gotten as high as 38mpg on long trips so I dunno

Lowest I ever had was in the low 20s but that was in the winter with a lot of idling to keep the car warp.

Mid to high 30's on both of my mtx SXTs (regular gas). High 20's in my SRT (premium, of course). My '95 mtx 1GN got high 30's to low 40's (one of the many things I miss about that car!).

Isn't that because you haven't been driving it?

depends how hard i push the motor to work
Thats definately the truth, highway travel at 3500rpm doing 70mph I get 32-35mpg. Daily basis I average 25-30mpg depending on how hard I drive it...

Also remember tat going into winter they actually take some of the heavier fuel out of the mix to make it vaporize faster thus losing some of the available BTU content so the car will actually start and run.

With the sub -10°C weather and my short trips and damn near all city driving I've only gotten 28mpg lately. Normally it's been about 30mpg.
Under normal mixed city/country driving when I was working I normally get 31-32 mpg. Long interstate trips in the summer I get anywhere from 35 to 39mpg depending how fast I want to get there. In the winter even that drops to around 30mpg.

Gas mileage? Whats that?
I just fill up with I hear the Bing in between the blowoff valve, rumble of the engine, and of course my giggles of joy.
