The recessed tip plugs are where the white porcelain is down inside the plug and the electrode is almost flush with the threaded end of the plug.
This reduces the chance for detonation and keeps the spark out of the wind. I used these (BR9ES) on my Daytona....I've had way better luck that the Champs...or any other normal plug...car ran noticeably smoother and throttle response was improved. They're the same price as the regular plugs too.

wow, never knew those existed.
Are u trying to run them on your Neon?
I dunno if they'd really be any better than the regular ones though, but who knows.

Well, I noticed some good improvements in off boost response in the Shelby so I figured I'd give em a shot in the Neon....they cost the same as V powers, so what the heck?

Okay, since the thread is about "spark plugs question" I can post here instead make new thread...
anyone uses Accel U_Groove Spark Plugs? I found it in
http://www.modernperformance.com. they marked it NEW. almost 2.40 per spark plug.

Just buy the cheap NGK ones, no need to order the Accel's from Modern.

Accel plugs are just NipponDenso not just Denso plugs. No big deal. Just the alternate OEM Japanese plug. Both are good.

those plugs are no big deal.
my dad did a little test in his race car a while back with a bunch of the various brands of spark plugs, like when split fires were the hot item as well as AC Delcos, champs, accels and maybe a couple others. and found no significant difference.
he would run the plug that pays the most money at an event.
want a cheap plug go with any standard copper plug.
want a plug that will last a long time, go iridium.

well if you get the spark to far up in the chamber then the a/f mixture wont burn properly and im pretty sure you can figure out the things that could happen with that lol.
