Cleaning battery acid OFF TRANS

Post by SlvrACR » Sun Jan 07, 2007 2:45 pm

I had a leaky battery and it got the nasty residue on my trans. It looks like shit and I wanna clean it off. Ive tried backing soda and some spray to clean battery terminals but it didnt work really.

Try using more baking soda in the baking soda/water mixture?

coke should work as well.

there are also cleaners specifically for cleaning battery acid. theres one, cant remember the name of it, but it starts yellow and the turns purple as it eats up the acid.

NO. One of the main ingredients in Coke is Phosphoric Acid, the same chemical used in paint stripper, and crystal meth. :D

you gotta be careful how much you use though...it is a liquid...and it is a battery...

blew up the battery in my first car when i poured almost an entire can on the terminals and it touched both...
