Its very simple. take off all the bolts on the old one, take the spark plug tubes out, and the coil pack off the old vc, and pop the new one on and put the spark plug wires and coil pack back on.

okay i was just curious about the 4 spark plug areas if there was a certain " good " way to take those off. but if its pretty simple then i guess i can figure it out myself.

thanks! ill wait for a few more posts and see what anyone says to this one...haha.

pretty sure this is a diff topic in a relatively different way.

not trying to be a dick but i hate when ppl comment like you did above.

read my post next time before you feel like posting.

thanks.

hey adam _ T plz dont dis-respect the staff here, he is being honest. u could have asked this question in your other thread, it was still VC related...

now .. with the valve cover install...

take off the Coilpack and pull the wires

there is numerous bolts around the outside of the valve cover, i think its 8 bolts to be exact,

once u take that off you will see the black spark tube seals, now if you were like me,i couldnt figure out how to get them out easily and wound up ripping one, so i went over to the dealership and just bought 4 new ones for like 5$ or so and put them in instead of wasting my time trying to get the old ones out...

after that just put the rubber gasket in the slot for it on the bottom of the VC and put it back on and re install the bolts, and put the coilpack back on and put the wires into the plug holes and done..
hmmmmm

cool man thanks a lot. the fel pro VC rubber gasket set came with all new seals so i dont think i need to worry about that (or at least i think they are the spark plug seals haha) <---4 big black ones and 8 small ones so must be.

like i said above im not trying to be a dick or disrespect anyone. ive been part of this forum for like a week now and everytime i search on stuff it comes up with hundreds if not thousands of results and the titles of their posts look like they have NOTHING to do with what i searched and i dont want to click each of those and then look thru another 20-30 ppls comments ya know?

why cant "staff" be more like " could you please post related topics in previous posts? thanks man!"

i mean seriously. it would help out a lot to us " noobs "

doesnt everyone think so?

Go buy these. It'll be the greatest investment for you car.

And on another serious note, I'd like to formally apologize for being such a dick lately. It is kind of out of character for me. It's there have been several people asking the same questions, and I sort of snapped. (Bad week needless to say)

FInally, if you can't change a valve cover, seriously, don't go turbo yet. Wait it out, and learn.

i have the chilton and love it, i also got the dodge neon "high performance build up" and i really like that one since it gives alot of aftermarket info.

edit..

when you search make sure you select the second box, or a whole bunch of random crap will show up.

If you have an '03 or newer......get this.

Available new at http://www.modernperformance.com/dcx/pl ... 3-05.shtml

If you have an older car, there is always ebay. That's where I got mine....and for only $50. I would highly recommend a FSM over a Haynes or Chilton. Plus, off ebay, they usually already have some greasy fingerprint marks on them...making them that much more authentic.

you should definitly look at a factory service manual. they are loaded with more info than you can think of.
