my white car....

ok. so i have decided that i want to put a little money into my 00 and get it back on the road, make it my beater/commuter/whatever car, so i can keep the miles down on the blue car.

here's what's wrong with it, i need a new upper motor mount mounting bracket and bolt, that's easy enough to fix... definitely need to redrop it and align it... fairly easy...

but the main problem i parked it and let it sit to rot in the first place.... it has a stutter. it's not an ignition system problem, it's getting oil on one of the spark plugs. just on the tip, not on the threads. so it isnt a leaky valve cover seal. anyone got any ideas on what might be causing this? ive heard valve seals... id liek to fix all possible causes, to make sure its fixed. a parts list and price list would be GREAT.

i also figure ill slap the SXT wheels that are on the wife's car on it with the fat rubbers i have on the le baron wheeels... and after i have it running good again, i'll start cleaning her up again, find a white hood and trunk and gas door (bright white) and fix the rear bumper, or replace it. or hell, maybe just get a new trunk and take my scratched stock hood from teh blue car and get the car maaco'd.. i dont know, anywyas, my main concern is the engine.

if anyone has a lead on a cheap motor, with a 5 speed, id like to do a fresh motor, with a 5 speed swap....

thansk and sorry this post rambled on and on...

Yeah no problem. I'll trade you my 2.0 w/ 5spd for an SRT-4 engine.

You need to get that car running, and one color.

The oil on the plug is probally a bad valve stem seal or you have a bad ring on that piston. I would drive it a bit because it was sitting for a bit the oil rings might not be expanded and letting oil get into the cc causing you to foul the plug out in that cylinder causing you studder.

one thing to remember, tink, you will need a bunch o stuff to swap an 03 into an 00... like, ecu, wiring harness, engine, etc.

cant i use all my wiring and stuff and sensors from the 00 on the 03 motor to avoid the NGC?

the problem isnt a recent one, it was happening when i was daily driving the car, so it isnt from sitting. but i will check inot the valve stem seals, i hope that's it instead of the rings...

how much are a set of valve stem seals? anyone know?
