Power Lock Problem

Post by gilly02le » Tue Jan 30, 2007 1:17 pm

So I've got the keyless entry package on my neon, and there is only one key hole, and thats on the drivers door.
normally, when you turn and hold your key to the right or left, its supposed to unlock or lock, all of the doors in the car.. however.. recently its just stopped.. any suggestions on how to get this little piece of shit working.. its used to be intermittent, working maybe 50% of the time, and now, it just doesn't work at all..

And, anyone else here have to tinker with the battery connection inside their key-less remotes?? mine need to be fixed just about every week now.. somehow the battery connector just bends off of its contacts, making it seem as if the remote batteries have died..when they have not.

honestly, sounds like you are abusing your remote  But seriously, I woudl say contact the dealer and see what they say, and also check out your factory manual that came with the car, they sometimes have tips on how to turn on and off some options, so maybe your car ecu got reset??

lol, well i honestly don't like beat the remote, i have another that works ok, so i think im just going to use it instead and eventually get one more, and swap the internals of the two, so i dont have to get it reprogrammed.

and yea, i did mean turn it twice and hold it.. it used to work just fine, and now, its not working period.. im just wondering if that might have anything to do with my key? or if its the lock module itself.. i can get at it by taking the door panel off.. so i think i might check if its corroded in there..
