A quick question about the seats..

I have a herniated disc and i'm curious if the viper seats are better for your back than the airbag seats...

Discuss.

I dnt think that it would help your back feel better. IMO the viper seats having larger bolsters will just keep you planted in the seat better when cornering hard. Heated seats will make your back feel better. I had a buddy with a Vw beetle i drove on a roadtrip once and the heated seat was god.

Well, my back doesn't hurt, but i figure if the seats have better lumbar support than the RT seats i'll get 'em..

unless your skinny, viper seats are hard on the ass. I sit on top of a bolster on one side...

From the info I gathered from the past year:

SRT Viper seats - Great for driving enthusiast who like to be planted into there car and feel like there one with it. Not comfortable though if you have lots of pot holes, bad back, stiff suspension since the seats really have minimal cusion to them

SXT,R/T, Regular seats: Comfortable, soft, great for long drives, daily commutes, pot holes, stiff suspension. Not good for SCCA type racing, hard cornering, all out racing since they do not have the side bolsters to hold you into your seat

Hope this helps ya,

From doing a lot of driving in my SRT seats all over the country I can say that the back support fantastic but I manage. The R/T seats are better for support but if you like to take corners fast I find it more of a PITA to keep having to hold yourself up. You just have to get used to the SRT seats for long driving and try to adjust your ass every now and then to keep the blood flowing

The first SRT that I took for a test drive had the Viper seats and it wasn't very comfortable (I have scoliosis). I prefer the SRS (side airbag) seats.

Being a fat guy I perfer the R/T seats over just about anything. I need to make some modifcatons to a set to fit in the charger (if you are over 5'10 and have ridden in a 2 door L body you know what I'm talking about). The srt-4 seats are fun for a little while espically if you are a fat guy and can sit on the bolsters for a while to spread the foam out a little than they are pretty comfterable.

I hate going on long trips with my Viper Seats. My ass goes numb, and my back hurts. But I would never trade them because I love em'!

The ones I sat in were ok. They were a little tight on the sides. I am 5'9" ish and about 190lbs.

I love my SXT seats and they are mucho comfortable compared to the Viper seats for long trips
