Acts like it's about to stall

Well my SXT has 38,000 miles. It's MTX. When driving through town just casually I like to keep it at fairly low RPMs. I'm talkin never going over 2 grand. I don't know what has happened, but for the past week or so it acts like it's about to stall after shifts when I drive it this way. If go to higher RPMs (2.5-3k) before shifting it's fine. That may not seem like a problem to you, but it's never done that before now and that's what surprises me. What do you think it could be?

Well that kind of happend to me, but mine was just a really rough idle, and what fixed it for me was new spark plug wires. Usually the route is; spark plugs, wires, coil.

I was thinking plugs too. I guess a better way to describe it is like a miss. Although, I haven't had experience feeling what a miss feels like.

I would def. try plugs, I was getting a code for a cylinder misfire, then I decided to replace the plugs, didn't fix it, than wires, and it fixed it. Just start with plugs, than wires, and if need be; coil
How I could tell my missfire, is when I was accelerating, and it would just kinda have a dead acceleration at one point

Would the fact that it only happens after a shift be anything to rule out spark plugs?

Uh... Cancel that.
It's not only after a shift. It was getting progressively worse, this morning it was at it's worst. Then when I drove it back home from school it barely did it at all, and I drove it like I used to (low rpms). WTF is up with this thing?
Edit: Maybe the fact that the weather was the warmest it has been in a long time has something to do with it? Bah I am really just stabbing in the dark at this point. I have no idea.

I doubt it's the weather, we had a pretty darn hot summer up here, 100 degrees plus each day, and it didn't do anything to my car. If you got the money, try the plugs, than wires.

Yea it would be a plus, Accel wires with NGK plugs with a MSD or Screamin Demon Coil pack should work quite niceley..

That doesnt sound good for an 05

When you shift, do the rpm's drop below 1000 like letting the clutch out while at a standstill, but not actually stalling?

I'm gonna have to get back to you on that one, after I drive it tonight to go to work.

Oh I wasn't ruling the coil out, but a lot of the times people have their fix at wires, but coil is def. a need if it has to go that far.
Plugs - $2 or up
Wires - $40 usually or up, I got Borg Warner wires, they're really nice.

Check to make sure you don't have any oil in the spark plug tube seals.

Don't waste your money on a MSD coil pack, they aren't much/if at all, better than your stocker. As far as rims, i think the stock steelies weigh something like 14 pounds, which is actually pretty dang light.
And of course, a 17" rim will not move as fast as a smaller rim..
