heater problems

Post by bad04srt » Tue Mar 06, 2007 2:10 pm

so my heater was blowing cold air after i flushed and refilled my coolant so i automatically assumed it was an air pocket in the radiator.....so i let it sit overnight and then ran it for a few minutes in the morning with the pressure cap off to get rid of the pocket.....but now it blows hot air when i'm driving but as i start slowing down the air gets colder and colder until i stop and then it blows pure cold air.....i know my AC isnt charged but i am just gonna take it out soon anyways but what you guys think? heater core?

my 00 just never gets hot air - it's warmish, but not warm enough. Anyone got any ideas?

heater core or the flap isnt working. probably due for a flush too.

:withstupid: Your coolant could be low. Mine has done this before yet never overheated at all. Like you said, you could have had an air pocket. Let it sit overnight once again and then refill it somemore in the morning. Run it and try again.

I just replaced the coolant and thermostat - still no heat. Is that a heater core problem then? How hard is it to replace the heater core?

it might have a slight clog...where when your turning RPMs it pushes with more pressure...just a thought

Well, I'm getting my overheating issue resolved - it was air bubbles. and as it's getting more coolant the heat is coming on so I think I'm all good.
