ok so I my 2nd oxygen sonsor has go bye..... it kept throwing acode once and a while so i decided to replace it..
I ran the car til normal operating temp, then crawlled under and tryed to get out the sensor.. but no luck...
I tried the socket for them , but the sensor is at such an angle that i cant make it work.. adn the openended wrench stil no go....
I brokke down and got out the large pipewrench!! , i mean this thing tightens at you put load on it.. but to no avail it will not budge.... not I have a oxygen sensor that all the wires are broken to it and I am NOT throwing a code....... but the idle is kinda sketchy.....

mabye a tourch would help????

Sounds like you'll have to get a torch and heat the O2 bung, then use your pipewrench.

had the same problem, lub it up with some WD40, let it sit for a bit, then from the bottom part turn it as hard as you can... from what i remember it was a real bitch to turn off, but its just a little rusted in, thats all. remember to get a good grip on the pipe itself and the bolt pattern with your wrench.

And remember - Antiseize compound is your friend. A small amount placed on the threads of your replacement O2 sensor will do wonders down the road, so to speak.

try liquid wrench.. normally you should Never put any kind of lube on the sensor threads.. buts it has allready bought the farm... so yea.. spray some lube on it.. and then try tapping all the way around it with a small hammer.. might help break the corrosion holding it in... then crank the shit out of it.. hahah Bring out that breaker bar if all else fails..
when you pick up a new sensor it will come with anti-sieze compound on it.. so you wont have this isse again..

torch would work, but i say wd-40 or pb blaster should do the trick.
REMEMBER: wear goggles while spraying in such a small space. if not, you will get it in your eyes. thats how i went blind - JK

How about this?
Cut the wires off, get a deep 6 point 1/2" drive socket and a breaker bar, if need be you can slip a length of pipe over the end of the breaker bar to add leverage. Warm the car up again and then it will come loose, if not then use spinach.
You can use a lube on the htread, anti-sieze, but keep it off the tip.

you could always cut off the wires and use an impact gun, electric or air, shouldnt be a problem

usually if I can't get a bolt off, I take out my cheater bar for added leverage and then spray the hell out of the bolt with wd-40 or pb blaster

start the car and let it warm up to temperature, or torch it up so its really really hot. spray it down with some pb blaster. get out the big 22m wrench and have at it. usually if you heat em up really good they come right out. dont even bother with that socket, they never seem to work for me.
