rolling a mopar rear lip? help ASAP

okay i have heard a few things about " rolling in a rear bumper " and stuff like that but i really dont know what it is.
i have a brand new mopar rear lip and i had the holes cut out (the pre raised guidelines that came with the lip) but my borla exhaust doesnt come near those holes.
i was wanting to sell it.....but maybe i could just roll that whole back angle part and just have them tucked up?
i dunno..i dont know much about body work. anyone with suggestions or pics? if not..i am just going to have 2 holes cut out in my stock rear bumper to have the tips fit up in that. id prefer to keep the lip though if at all possible...
please help.

I think you literally roll it upwards and tie it up with zip ties... check in search - there is a topic I asked about a long time ago about this

so just cut two side slits in it so it can be bended upwards? then roll it up?

I dont think you even have to cut it... the srt guys do it all the time.
here is one: no pics...
http://forum.2gn.org/viewtopic.php?t=14 ... led+bumper
Here is one I pulled from another post:
03sxt wrote:There's like 12 different explanations on how to perform the rolled bumper mod over at SRTforums.com, but they're mainly all the same. It's quite simple and take about 5 minutes and $2.
srt4nate @ SRTforums.com wrote:1. lay down under the rear of the car in between the exhaust tips.
2. disconnect the 2 black plastic plugs holding the bumper in position.
3. take a zip tie and put it thru the hole where the plug was and "roll" the bumper by pulling it towards the front of the vehicle. about 9-12" from where the plug came out of you'll notice a rail with holes about every 12", use this hole to zip tie the bumper to. then repeat the zip-tying for the other side of the bumper (2 zip ties total)

Umm. The "rolled bumper" mod is for SRT-4 bumpers only guys.
Also, with issues like these, pics really help man.
I understood that the Borla fits the R/T tip cutouts, which the Mopar Lip kit has the guides to cut along if you desired.

yeah thats what i was thinking. i just went and looked at my lip and was like " errrr its not rolling " <---the mopar rear lip that is
but if you look at mopar rear lips....they have a raised line (in the shape of a cutout for a rolled bumper look a like) and it looks like i could just cut out that whole middle section.

Yeah, they have that as a guideline, in all the accessory books, they reference painting that area black if you so desired.

the RT cut outs definitely dont fit the borla exhaust. haha. they are about a inch away.

that means you bought the wrong borla exhaust.
You probably bought the one for the SRT-4, not the R/T

Or a 1st gen. The Vibrant is the same. It wont fit a 2nd gen RT/ACR

Measure from tip to tip on your exhaust and post it for us..

My rolled bumper..
took 4 zip ties and roughly 3 minutes to do.
The Borla Cat Back isn't made for the R/Ts.
When you read the instructions it says 00-05 Neon (excludes R/T)

lol.. I didnt understand the last word.. My great grandparents were from germany so I got some of it.
No I don't have any tips. It's not side Exit or Rear Exit. I have A 3" exhaust, but I fucked up the rear section by backing up into a curb. So I took it off until I could get it fixed. It's Loud. It's not as loud as SideExit, because I have a Resonator, but it's still loud. It dumps off right after the rear axle

I was distracted by my very beautiful fiancee when I was backing up into a stall at a resturant and BAM.... CRunch..
SHIT! lol Bent the Driver's Side Tip almost pointing straight up.

i bought the borla system for the 03-05 sxt's. didnt say excluded RT model. but i wasnt trying to get an rt model one. when the mopar lip kit said " can fit with r/t style exhaust which we also sell " i didnt think it meant that i couldnt put other stuff on there.
live and learn. haha.

The Borla was made to be put on without making cutouts in the bumper.. Main reason.. at least from what they told me, they went with a wider spacing between the tips.

shit is off the chainnnnn!!
EDIT: i wonder how the borla dual outlet would look under there....or if it would be too "metal" looking. seeing all the pipes from muffler and everything just hanging there.

It will sit right where his muffler is except 2 it sits about 1/8th of inch from stock bumper.
