For reliability both turbo and allmotor are good. Both will become less reliable the more you do to it.
All motor with boltons you can drive forever.. but you add high compression, big cams, ect then a good tune is a must for keeping all the parts where they belong.
Turbo is just as reliable and in my opinion, more fun to play with and tune. If you keep the boost under 7lbs and have a GOOD fuel system she will run forever. Up the boost on stock bottom end and you are asking for problems.
There are plenty of examples of good all motor setups and Bad allmotor setups, the same for turbo'd neons. Just make sure that all of the components are good and you have everything dialed in.
I have done the high compression all motor and now into the srt turbo boosting 18 daily and 22 at the track with no issues. The all motor setup I had was wonderful and i drove it for 30,000 miles before getting bored and swapping a turbo. I now have over 30,000 miles on the srt setup and still going!
Soo it comes down to how much fun you wanna have!! How much tuning you want to play.
