cruise control
hey, I just got a new neon. It seems like I can afford it for a while then something comes up and I gotta get rid of it. Hopefully I can keep this one and build on it. Anyway, it's a 2000 es with cruise control. The cruise however isn't working. I hit the "on" button and it comes on, then when I set it it won't keep the speed and the "cruise" light on the cluster goes off and it won't turn on again. Any thoughts? I'm thinking first do the easy part - replace the fuse. Anyone else have this problem? Oh, it's got $135K on it.
check for a vacuum leak also.
and just throwing this out there, but you do know that you gotta go above 35 mph (i think its 35) in order for the cruise control to engage, right?

So, I took it in. And because I'm a novice and don't know what things look like or where they are (even with my haynes) I paid $92 to have my cc servo plugged back in. The good news is now I know my timing belt was changed because the mechanics think that when it was changed was when the cc got unplugged.
