if i were to get the borla catback it would be the same size pipe as stock from the cat to the muffler correct?....so if that is the case then is there any way to get jsut the borla muffler...and if not, would the R/T have just as good as flow? (i got the 02 sxt mtx) and by any odd chance, which i doubt, would have the flow rates on the R/T muffler and the borla muffler? thanks.

Depends on the Borla u get. If u get the Neon Borla it's the same size, if it's the SRT Borla it is 2.5, but no muffler.

Yeah it is 2.25... i got my measurements confused, but it is .25 larger, so it is not the same as the stock pipes... This is the one for the base Neon, not the SRT

All 2nd Gen Neons except some of the '00s have 2.25" Piping.

My old Borla exhaust, which I had on my old R/T, is on another member's car now.. I currently have a 3" Exhaust on my SRT.

I apologize for any confusion, what you were saying MOX didn't sit well with me... something just didn't seem right, so I did some searching around here and found that the MID-pipe is the same size @ 2.25" though almost all 2gn taper at the end, except a few 2000 models and the R/T. I assume the reason for the new mid-pipe or the purchase of cat-back kits would be to not have that taper at the end, otherwise what purpose would that pipe serve? So yes you were correct, your choice of words was throwing me off. Sorry. I guess the only thing that really matters is the power gains when all is said and done.
