Then dont go into debt to buy an SRT/4, just get the powertrain and stick it in what you've got.

Cheaper. Plus if you want to spend a bit more you have it out already, and can rebuild it OEM spec so it's fresh, OR or or or.... build it UP.

Buying a complete SRT/4 car just makes no sense in your particular scenario.

It's really not that hard Opi. Just save up the cash for the swap, I'm sure there are lists around on here that will tell you what you need, get that stuff, and when you're ready, ask around, someone will help you.

Needless to say, I'm selling everything. I want a SRT now. :D

I still think you'd be happier with a swap... you're associating the speed with the pricetag, and that's not necessarilly true... don't let the b00st go to your head, bro!

I've swapped out engines before... this should be a snap. Spend 300 bux buying some beater if you dont have a second car. Trust me, this isnt hard. I just bought a hoist, and I will be swapping out my own engine for an SRT/4 engine/trans. I have to do everything you do. I don't have anyone really to help me out here, either :( So I feel your fears, but chin up! You can do it!

:D

I already own a beater. (look at my sig, haha)

It's the fact that, I want something that's reliable. A swap that I know nothing about does not entitle reliable. See my problem?

And I don't want the speed. Actually, I didn't like all the horse this thing was putting out. (around 270 - 290whp) I just want something that I can drive around happily, without worrying about my shit getting broken into or what not. I miss having a nice car I can actually enjoy.

Then why not buy an excellent condition R/T with low miles?

I don't understand your reasoning then for an SRT/4 other than bling factor, no offense ;)

For the money you will spend, you could totally work over the mechanical probs of your present car AND it already looks sweet. I guarantee they will break into your SRT/4, and steal your slicko Autometer b00st gauge, seats, shift knob, wheels, etc....

I still say swap "FTW" as you guys put it. Don't be afraid! Gotta learn sometime.

Another reason is that SRT's retain there value better than R/Ts, ACR's, SXT's, all of them. I lost out ALOT when I bought my SXT, and with this SRT it's mint and a DAMN good price.

So, it's a slightly better investment as well.

clean, simple, stock looking srt FTMFW. Id be all over that idea if I coul afford the larger payments and massive insurance of an srt, but with school and shit its impossible. The engine sway is my only shot unless I fall hard into some cash. Good luck opi
