What are the stock exhaust diameters for an SE and for an SRT/4?

All neons are 2.25" with the exception of some early 2000's which had 2.0"

yes, an srt-4 exhaust is a direct replacement for most 2gn neons (to answer the unasked question). If you own an '00, buy a 2.0 - 2.25 step-up coupling to make it direct fit (you might not need it, but why take the whole stock setup off, just to have to go the store and buy one).

I bet the SRT/4 exhaust tips don't clear the '00 bumper, since the SRT has cutouts. ???

The SRT tips just rub a little on the standard bumpers (same thing with the RT/ACR muffler); some don't even rub at all, depending on the alignment of the exhasut hangers. Very minor trimingn of the bumper may be needed; some even just let the hot exhaust melt a "cut-out" into the bumper.

Let mine melt the bumper some... only bad thing is now i have some melted fiberglass on my right tip... and i cant get it off... the left tip cleaned off just fine... but the right tip just wont clean off... so while it works, it does have a minor drawback

While I've only had mine on for about a week (with no muffler, dunno if that affects exit temps), I check the rear bumper when i get out of the car to see how warm it is where it's touching the tips as opposed to the rest of it. I have not noticed any major difference in temps between the two. How long did it take your bumper to melt, and do you sit in traffic a lot?

the bumper is only made of plastic.. if it does melt onto your muffler tip its kind of nice because it makes perfect cutouts.... if you do get some plastic on the muffler tips, just take 400 or 600 grit wet-sandpaper and sand the tips.. i got undercoating on mind, and fixed it like this.. just sand it a bit with the sandpaper and water and it will shine back up..
