Battery cable question
ok. I burned up my positive battery cable. Im pushing alot of juice because of my 1,500$ system. I have 2 batteries. Even with that, my battery cable burned up. My question is, is it easy to change? i know one side goes to the fuse box and the other one under the intake manifold. Is it alot? are the terminals alot? could i upgrade the cable to something else due to the amount of power needed? if so does dodge carry it.

i had to do this too cause of the same problem and the reason for this problem was due to lack of ground wires.......
The wire going under the manifold is going to your starter and then that wire is going to your altnator. what i did was went to pep boys and get a thicker guage wire and i ran it directly to the starter (which im not recommending for you cause my cituation was diffrent) then i ran another wire from the starter to the battery. how are you running your second battery that might also be the culprit to your wire melt down?

im running the second battery with a kicker 2gauge wire (+ to +) and grounding the back to the trunk. Now the battery in the back is a redtop optima and the front is a Silver regular juice battery. im not sure if the cable burned out before the second battery or not. Im pretty sure it did cuz i was running a big system on one battery. but after i put 2 batteries i guess it was to much and POW it crumbled up

If you burned up a wire from accessory load increase the size of the positive and ground wires. If you had 8 gauge goto 4 if you had 4 goto 2 or 0. This should solve your problem. Also you may have shorted something to ground to get that to happens so check it out thoroughly before firing it up again.
