intercooler sprayer?

ive heard about people taking there windshield wiper fluid and putting nozzles infront of the intercooler and acting as an intercooler sprayer. well i have 2 questions about this.
how could you get it so the wipers dont go off when you spray and would this make the intake temp be any lower if you were to spray at WOT? you wouldnt want to spray while not in WOT i assume because water would build up in the bottom and you wouldnt really have to worry about corrosion for a long time because its not spraying as much as w/i would. anyone have any info on this?
