for some reason i can seem to get my lines to be exact, the teeth dont want to align with the belt in the right spot... is this as close as you can get them?

cant you make them line up by loosening up the cam gears and aligning them and tightening them back up? I mean, they are adjustable no? or did you already try that?

The cam gear adjustment will only change the cam gears relation ship to the cam itself no to the belt. So unfortunately that will not help here.

If you turn at the crank shaft just a bit they should come into line. Try turning the engine by HAND two revolutions. If it goes around then you should be fine. Looks as if you have the crank off just a scosch. Try bumping the engine just abit clockwise then decide if you are off as the line on the left (Exhaust) should come down and the one on the right (intake) should go up. Crank should just move a Very little.
