Rocker Panel

Well, I put my car in a ditch today, didn't do any damage except for the right rocker panel got pushed in and scratched up, I was wondering what could be done to fix it. I'd rather not replace it, my dad said that a body shop could spot weld nails to it and pull it back out. Any ideas how much this will cost?

can't you get your insurance to fix it?

I'm only 18 and don't really want to get the insurance involved, it wasn't anybodys fault but my own. I'll take pics tomorrow, but its bent up about 1 1/2 - 2 feet long with the middle where the front and rear doors meet, not enough to where the doors hit it, its more towards the bottom, you can only see if if you get down to look at it, it's already been painted temporarily so it won't start to rust, so it's harder to see.

just take it to a body shop and get a guess-timate, then take it elsewhere, and another place... after you have several different quotes, take it back to the place you like the bets and show them the lowest quote and ask if they can match or beat it. It is called "shopping around"

definitly dont want to turn that into insurance.
your deductible would probably be higher than the cost to fix it.
if you were a little further west i could tell you a place that would probably be cheap, but it would be a bit of a drive from where you are.
