I was looking up part numbers for spark plugs because I wanted to make sure I grabbed the right part. The book stated that there was a 2.0 DOHC 2000 Neon. Did they really release a 2.0 DOHC Neon for the 2000 model year?

Once they started production of the 2nd gen (2000- on) they only put in SOHC.

The 2.0 DOHC engine didn't die off it was used in the Euro PT Cruisers and was rated at 140HP. I used to have a 99 Expresso DOHC Coupe MTX and wondered why DCX stopped using that engine in the 2gn Neon. They even shared the same head as a 2.4 doesn't make sense.

I'm glad the Germans sold them. They should have stayed independent and kept their $8 Billion in liquid assets. Instead DC's CEO Schemp blew all the money on stupid ideas like the SMART cars.
