What should i do

Post by dansou5 » Fri Jun 08, 2007 12:52 pm

Alright i bought this car about 2 months ago and so far i have been trying to fix all the minor things that are wrong with it. Now it seems today that the sunroof is broken. It was open to begin with, then when i tried to close it, it didnt close right.

So far what i can tell is that one of the pivoting arms broke. Is there any diagram that anyone has for the istallation or removal of the sunroof.

When i have to order parts will i have to buy a whole new sunroof, or is there individual parts that i can buy?

Anyone have any advice, or has it happened to you.

Im just losing hope in the car, ever time i fix something, another this goes wrong :cussing:

I had the same problem once. Is there power going to the sunroof? when you flick the switch does it sound like its "clicking"?

K - so you have something that is blocking it. I had a small stone in mine and it completly fubar'd it all up.

Inspect the tracks, make sure it is fully open. The Torx screws are t20's i think i cannot remember, but that way you can pull off the glass clean it all up and re-lube it all up and it should work properly again.

Will it close partially, or stay in the full open posistion?

Mine ended up going on an angle and wouldnt close all the way. I found a stone, straightened it up and it works fine now!

Yeah the dealers think that younger people dont know anything when it comes to their cars!!!

well if it is at an angle and you get the "dirt" out of the track you should be able to re-allign the roof when the glass is out. Simply press the button to close it fully and hold it as it adjusts itself. Then just put the glass back in!
