Maybe I'm Crazy But... My Car Shifts Better At Night

I have boogers but my car still doesn't shift "great" (aka shift is still a little bit sloppy, especially when going from 1st to 2nd gear - overall its just not very firm and doesn't snap gear to gear)
BUT at night, for some reason, the shift box is very smooth and snaps into gear after gear no problem, almost like driving a different car.... now, I live in southern california and don't experience "drastic" temperature / weather changes throughout the day, so maybe I'm crazy but what could be causing this?

Guess your car isnt much of the morning person.
It must be your ecu's preference to the nighttime hours.

maybe I should give it coffee in the morning to get it going or something?

Is it similar to this:

?
It's probably the same problem, and is very random

if you had already driven it during the day, and then drove it at night, perhaps it shifts better because the tranny has had time to warm up? whereas first thing in the morning it's cooled down completely so it shifts poorly when cold (I've noticed this). Remember, ambient temperatures may not vary much over there, but the transmission still gets pretty hot when it's running

danman, yes, it is the same issue it seems... I wish someone could figure out what the deal is... I mean, my car has 15k miles on it and this is already happening?

my srt tranny hates the first gear. feels like pushing my shifter through a bag of sand. only does it in 1st, and really only happens every now and then. warm or cold.
