Hey all I own a 2000 MTX neon and just recelntly purchased a afx/r from "black sleeper " the pcm is for a 2001 mtx, adn I like i said own a 2000. i am aware of the problem of the IAC problem being that my car has a 4 wire and the 01-02 have i think a 2or 3 wire.
My question is has anyone been able to fix this problem? or has anyone retro fitted a 01 AIC to a 2000 throttle body?

Just looking for the easiest solution like if I should replace the WHOLE engine bay harness or waht?????

ALright all I found out som interesting things since no one has responded, love the factory service manual.

2000 Neon = 4 Pin connector
2002 Neon = 2 pin connector

2000 Neon PCM Pinout - NON MAG

C2- module
Pin #, connector, wire gauge, wire colour

(49) K60, 20YL/BK Idle Air Control NO.2 Driver
(57) K39, 20GY/RD Idle Air Control NO.1 Driver
(58 ) K59, 20VT Idle Air Control NO.4 Driver

2002 Neon PCM Pinout - NON MAG

C2- module
Pin #, connector, wire gauge, wire colour

(49) K610, 20YL/BK Idle Air Control Driver
(57) K961, 20GY/YL Idle Air Control Motor Sence
(58 ) __________BLANK____________________
(63) T10, 18YL/DG Torque Management Request Sence
Edit: Torque Management Request Sence is an ATX feature. Downgraded output when shifting. - occasional demons.

I dont know what pin # 63 is "Torque Management Request Sence"
but the only diffenences are the pinouts, so i figues if I get a 2002 2 Pin connector and just splice those wires in the PCM $49, and #57 the computer should work fine.
Obviously i need the throttle bodty from a 2002 for the sensor to fit but theoredically this should work no?

Please feel free to comment !!!!!
