My neon had some transmission problems so its been in the driveway for around a month, i went to go start about a week ago, and it wouldn't start, the gauges jumped around, then it said fuse in the odometer, so while trying to solve this i noticed the trunk was not closed fully so the trunk light was on the whole time, so i closed it, and jumped it because the battery was dead, and that solved it. i went out today to start it again, and the same thing happened when i tryed to start it. i turned the key, the gauges jumped around and it said fuse in the odometer. so i looked over the fuses and didn't see any blown, but i'm also unsure what i'm looking for.
any ideas?
wont start!

Check the power your battery is putting out. If its been sitting idle for a month, with a drain on the battery, just jumping it, and not letting the alternator charge the battery fully will lead to a dead battery again.
Best case, jump it to start it, and take it for a long drive and it will hopefully charge. Worst case, new battery.
