You may need a new radiator or water pump.
It is supposed to be similar to Redline waterwetter. I'd get redline over the Royal Purple.

I've used Redline water wetter in mine. Didn't seem to lower the operating temp any, but then I run the 195* 'stat. The one thing I did notice was the heater put out hot air faster in the winter. Basically the additives help the coolant bond to the metals, thus improving heat transfer. Oddly enough DCX "doesn't recommend" additives in the coolant as engine damage could result. But they say that about any additive for any fluid used by the car. Lawyers. For $8 - $10 more for a coolant flush/change I'd say go for it. I've got 40,000 mi. on my Redline water wetter and nothing has reached out and touched me yet. To me it's cheap insurance for an aluminum head that might see a spike in temp. somewhere along the way. The only thing that I think the factory is concerned about is how it may influence the temp reading to the computer. (emmisions)

Ive been runnin water wetter in mine. When i added my 160 deg thermo I used one bottle of WW, one WW bottle of coolant and the rest filled w/ water.

during the summer and possibly the winter all a lower themostat does is get the coolant flowing sooner, but you will still reach normal operating temp.
why wouldnt you want to car to reach 195-200*, that is where peak fuel economy comes from. a colder engine doesnt burn fuel as well.

Some magazine, I think it was turbo magazine had a whole section on coolant additives. WW doesnt do too much with the normal 50/50 mix. It works much better with just straight water.

Thats a big negatory sir. During very cold months the temp needle will barely move and the heater is a joke.

Im surprised, I have heat in a matter of minutes from starting the car, and I know I'm not at 195* yet.
So even after you have been driving for a while it still doesn't reach normal temp.

If its during the summer it gets real hot real quick...but when its in the 30-40 range during the winter the only time it will reach normal op temp is when its idling. if Im driving it will like I said barely make that first mark. It was so cold last winter I actually threw a cel a couple times cause it wouldnt even make that.
