I know theres a how-to on it but my question wasn't answered there. How do I program a fresh key fob? Cause I don't have another one to activate this one. I went swimming with my keys on (stupid) and it destroyed my fob, so I ordered a new one but then I realized you need one thats programmed for your car to program a new one. So the question is how do I program a new key fob w/o using another one?

The dealer will do it for you. I don't think there is another way to do it without another one.

Someone posted here awhile ago about this place for keys: http://www.amazingkeys.com/

At that website they state the following:
If you don't have two working keys then you will have to go to the dealer or to a locksmith with the special equipment needed to program these types of keys. This will cost you from $20-$40 to have this done.
I hope this helps... Sorry to hear about your misfortune though... Good luck!

If you bought it from the dealer, they should do it out of courtesy, mine did. If not tell them that it lost its programming somehow. If all else fails just pay for it.

hes talking about the keyless remote

i got one for about 30 or 40 bucks at dealership, came home used old one to reprogram them both. since you dont have one to use you have to goto the dealership and pay em to do it.

Really??
No, I'm talking about a key....You know, the transponder key....You need two working keys to program a third key.

If you have only one key, then you're fcked...It's off to the stealership......Only they can program a second key. You cannot do it in the car....

I bought a couple of key blanks (transponder) after the dealership ripped me off for 20$ each and subsequently programmed them myself.

lol i was talking about the remote fob, the key it self is a bitch. like you said, gotta have 2 keys already to program your own 3rd, if u only have 1 key, you gotta have the dealer program the 2nd

with the remote fob, you only have to have 1 to program your own 2nd, if you have none, the dealer has to program one for you

the thing people are getting confused on here, is that he said key FOB. the fob is the keyless entry remote, which he needs programmed

yall are thinkin gof the TRANSPONDER key

hope that clears things up a bit

Ah, yes....I see now....

BTW, to the OP...
Swimming with your fob is not good but should not harm it.
If you take it apart and carefully dry it out it should be fine....

As others mentioned:
If you have:
2 Sentry keys you can program a third
1 Fob you can program a second
otherwise your paying the dealer to plug the DRB in and do it for you...
