I have SRT-4, and I want to do something with the exhaust. I look under there and I see a bunch of bends and crap all over the place.

Is there anyway to modify it so I just have one tip and I get rid of all those bends?

I want to go cheap and custom, plus having dual exhaust on a 4 banger is pretty stupid IMO. Waste of weight. I do not want an angled fart cannon...I want it to look like TnKs, Anyone know how he modified it to come out one end? Basically keep it looking clean.

Or maybe I could just get an electric cut-out?
Whats the install like on one of those bad boys?
After seeing Jason's dyno run and various videos on the net with them, it looks pretty badass.

Anyway to fill up one of the cutouts? That would be sweet if someone offered a paitned to match piece that filled that area up. I really don't want to do the roll bumper mod, because it looks like poo IMO.

You can simply roll your back bumper and have an exhaust shop make you a small amount of piping to go from your midpipe to a single tip on the left side of the car. Voila, instant functionality.

side exit exhaust. Its even easy enough to do yourself. Buying the tubing from Jegs or summit will cost you less than half of what a shop will charge you. I would get a small resonator for it though, it tends to get a little annoying since the exhaust is coming out of the drivers side.

I do not think they make an insert for the other side, for I have run into same problem... I think rolling the bumper is best option for ya, then you can do the single exit exhaust. Also, I would go with a 3" down pipe (o2 housing)

Then as far as the exhaust goes, I bet Revline can make you a 3" exhaust (catback) for less than modern sells... and just throw on a muffler

Just have them weld a hanger in the exhaust tunnel and right before it bends have it cut off and dump. No bends = FTW. Having an exhaust like TiNK's would require at least the big 90* bend as well as the hump to clear the frame. The exhaust tunnell has just enough room for a glasspack of any size if you want to quiet it down or have the ability to get it quiet at any time. Thats my exact plan.

I have actually seen a DIY side exist exhaust. Theres some kid with a ghetto rigged pipe along with a cheap round tip. You are going to need a small "S" bend just before the tip or else you will see a slanted piece of exhaust as the car is driving away from you and when it drives toward you if you are standing near the front passenger side.

Here are some pics and two videos of exhaust depots side exist exhaust. Keep in mind that all of their setups have a cat delete. Notice how they tuck in part of the exhaust at the "S" bend by pushing the first curve of the "S" upwards towards the chassis. It also helps to keep the exhaust flow as far away as possible.

side exhaust is the simplist and cheapest. i had a side-pipe on my truck for years, and as long as you have something simple for the back-pressure needed, you will get some great flow and sound.

Thanks for all the ideas and responses you guys. I honestly don't want to do a side exit exhaust, but if I do I will make sure it turns out badass and looks clean.

Its silver mmmmm, I just hate the empty cutout, it would be so sick if there was a way to fill it in and look like it was never there.

fiberglass and bondo, sanding, paint, and the cutout will have never existed, or... you can just roll the bumper
