removing key lock on trunk

hey guys, im painting my trunk and i cant figure out how to take the lock off. ive gotten to taking off the trunk latch, but i cannot figure out how to take the rest off. thanks

There should be a flat clip that looks like a U that holds the lock cylinder in there.. pull that off with pliers.. and you will be able to slide the whole thing out, shaving the keyhole are we?
