Post by spencersummerfield » Fri Aug 17, 2007 11:55 am

I installed a MAG head and am using the stock black plastic intake manifold. and there is a whisteling through it ONLY when I have my 60mm MPx TB in ....
i can hear it going through the intake runners..

people say this is boun d to happen with this intake mani. so i guess my question is has anyone els got this problem and fixed it?>?? or will installing a RT metal intake take care of the sound???

think it has something to do with the fact that the non mag manifold has smaller diameter runners, then the ports on the mag head? i also know that the non-mag uses o-ring type seals, and the mag uses an actual gasket.. not sure if that would matter tho.. since its probably not a vac leak.

no I got it sealed right , but this afternoon after the car had been driven about 20km, the noise was mostly gone.. so weather it was just teh car learning the new air flow of the 60mm. i dont know...
