ok i got a remote start deal thing, i got an 02 sxt mtx lol now i know cause its mtx its odd to do this i guess but idc, i got the remote start for freeeeeeee. so if anyone has a wiring diagram, please let me see or any tips or knowhow..hit me up...now im not stupid when it comes to circuits i just dont wanna be up in my car in like 108 degree heat lol i wanna get it done and get out lol. oh and i got gray keys...im almost sure that has something to do with it lol some kind of immobilizer or something......help!!!!!!!!! lol. thanks alot!!!!!

Did you try going online to the manufacturer to see if they had any kind of help options or if you could obtain a diagram? Even if you had to pay $10 you still got a bargain. I haven't done the remote start thing so I can't help much there. The only thing that I can think of is you may have to set up a switch that disables it if it's in gear. but that in itself will be tricky the only switch connected to the mtx is the back-up lights, that will only work for reverse obviosly. the switch would have to be mounted to the shifter some hoe so it is n.c. in the neutral position. But of course we neon owners always remember to put it in neutral and set the brake It's the ppl we let borrow our car we have to worry about!

the way my remote starter is set up is that you have to activate the starter prior to getting out of the car.

then you remove the key, the car stays running. and you get out of the car. when you close the door the car shuts off. any time the door is opened and the car hasn't been started the remote start has been disabled so you have to rearm it.

i don't know how to wire it, but just a heads up on how its done on my manual trans car.

there are a couple of ways to do it.

a. take one skim key and one skim ignition. break off the skim receiver and wire the key in the middle of the skim receiver, black ring.

b. the correct way. take one skim clone module or whatever it is called. bestbuy, cc, or any car audio video shop should have one. wire the skim module in, then go through the procedure to let the ecm program another key. when you trigger the alarms remote start, the alarm sends a signal to the module which sends the okay to start signal to the pcm.

B also lets you keep the skim module active in the event some asswipe tries to crack the column on your car and start it. with out the key it wont start.

as far as wiring diagrams go... just do a search for it and im sure someone has posted a diagram somewhere.

and dont forget to leave it in neutral before you get out...

ok, so an alarm bypass module is pretty cheap on ebay 17 bucks... and i looked up the remote start company on the company website that and i got the best one they offer...its by Ready Remote model 24927....its hot....so what i need is prime advice from someone who knows there stuff...and could tell me how to get around everything with a mtx....anyone got a name of someone who i can send a message to????? thanks a freakin ton lol....
