My MPG chart for one year. 2003 Neon R/T

That's normal on a PT. My mom's non-turbo PT gets really bad gas mileage too because the way it's designed. Even highway, they don't break 30mpg on a good day. Around town, 25mpg is normal. And they don't drive too fast either. The turbo motor and Stage 1 with any kind of fun would obviously get considerably worse mileage.

That is why I keep turning away WRX wagons as nicer and newer ones keep falling into my lap at fantastic prices. With premium gas and even just a few decent mods, you are looking at 17mpg around town. That's close to SUV mileage (cuteUtes for sure, like Liberty and Escape). Then again, you can argue the AWD and staying in boost is what does it but why buy a car like that if you are not going to use those features? Just get a slow Corolla and grab 38MPG highway and pass gas stations instead of other commuters. LOL
