I got my srt cluster installed today. To point a few things out, I did not have to do the E-brake light fix. It works fine, and the brake alarm remained active. The cluster I got has 86018 miles and my old r/t cluster has 49985 miles. It sucks that now it shows 36033 more miles. All lights work, including the sentry light. Now I have a few questions.

1. Is it normal for the temp gauge on these to move a lot more than the temp gauge on normal clusters?? I noticed it moves from around 180-210 depending on driving conditions. I find this cool. If I turn the car off and let it sit a little, when I start the car again, the temp will be even higher than normal, and go back down once the coolant circulates.

2. All my gauges are dead on, but when I come to a stop the MPH gauge stops at like 1 MPH. When I tap the gauge, it falls to zero. I know not a big deal, but I like to have things perfect Any fix for this, or just leave it. I think it may have gotten damaged somehow by being upside down too long. When I do the self-diagnostic test, the MPH needle is very bouncy, while the rest are all firm in their motion. While driving, the mph works just fine though with no odd movements.

sounds like your temp gauge on the stock cluster is a little wacked out. the temp needle should fluctuate as coolant temp changes. as for reading high on startup, my srt does this. it sat for 3 hours yesterday, and i went out again and it was still close to 200. idk why. but the coolant really was that hot, it didn't drop. can't help ya with the speedo needle.

Your car is going to heat up when its stopped after driving because there isn't anything moving the water, or moving air over the radiator. It's just basking in its own heat.

man my car pulls quicker than that. lol jk.

I might have to switch out the MPH motor, and just pull the needles to do it. I kind of described this in my post, Anatomy of a cluster

The Temp Guage sensor on the SRT is more responsive than the normal neon. It's suppose to move and give a more accurate reading than the regular neons.

Yea, I see it actually move now, unlike my stock cluster. When I'm still, it goes up a little, and when I move or the fans kick in, it goes back down. Pretty neat.

I'm about to pull the needles. While I'm at it, anyone know any other ways to reset the needles accurately?

Well I swapped out the needle motor, and the replacement is much better. Now my MPH is too low by ONE so I'm going to get that fixed tomorrow.
