I have a 01 Chrysler neon le 3speed atx and i was wounder what would be the set things to do to it the make it much more powerful for the track.

I was thinking a 2.4l dohc motor, a pt gt 01 tranny, srt suspension, srt brakes, and srt wheels also a intercooler system, megasquirt, and also mag cam's.

what do u all think??

good thoughts. 2.4 or 2.4t? if no turbo, no need for an intercooler. srt wheels are heavy as shit, you can find lighter for less more than likely. you'll need 2.4 cams with a 2.4 motor.

now, go browse the forums and use the search function. pretty much any question you could ask has been answered already. if you can't find the answer, then that's the time to start posts like this (which there are hundreds of, a few of which are mine lol).

2.4L Turbo? or 2.4L all motor? You'll want a standard transmission, SRT suspension stock is nothing great, if you want track go coilovers, SRT brakes with upgraded pads and rotors are nice, SRT wheels are a horrible idea for the track, they are big, heavy and skinny.

Megasquirt is awesome, if you know what you're doing to tune it, and you wouldn't use magnum cams, if you want a slight upgrade, on an SRT4 motor, et the 2.0L 1st gen DOHC cams, or any other of the several choices for cams.

You've got alot of reading to do, so I suggest you do it, before posting such a general question...

if you're lookin to go 2.4 all motor go over to neons.org and talk to Jeff B. fastest N/A 2.4 i've seen. he uses something other than MS but similar. as a matter of fact. i'd talk to him no matter what. he knows his shit
