New to the forum. I got a white 2000 2.0 named yuki.
So I spent the day redoing my wiring harness and replacing sensors. Everything works well except for that damn "fuse" message. (Now the fuse message is not new... it's about 2 months old so it's nothing that keeps the car from being drivable.)
Now I think it's coming from the starter/batt/pdc connector harness thingy. The fuseable link to the pdc broke two months ago. So I replaced it with the same gauge wire with a ring teminal on the end. I've rechecked my connections and soldering points and everything seems to be in order.
I would just buy another connector harness thingy but it's $90 and will take about 6 weeks to get in. I want that message gone now
So do I have to replace it with a fuseable link or can it just be a wire? Or am I completely missing somthing?
Project for tommorrow: Automatic belt tensioner, motor mounts and thermostat. Time for a shower and bed.
Saying fuse when there isn't a blown fuse.

Check that one already. Pulled it out with pliers and a screw driver and it's good. Removed that stupid clip.Kelevra wrote:the fuse under the colored plastic thing in the fuse box under the hood, the one that's a bitch to get out
Nope. Although that's nice to know.latief wrote:is your dome/trunk light on all the time?
any bad door ajar switch will cause a fuse warning in the dash.
Where is this IOD fuse you speak of?BlackRoseRacing wrote: typically the fuse warning light is on due to the IOD fuse being unplugged or blown....
