push start ign!!!

Post by boxcarfan » Wed Oct 31, 2007 12:51 pm

ok so i have had push start ign. switch installed for a while now and i notice no one else has it or has said anything about it....i bought the switch off of ebay (just search "push start" on ebay) and i installed it right under the ac/heat vent on the drive side (the one next to the driver window)...and you have to have the key in the ign to 'run' clutch has to be pushed in....i just thought it was neat lol....and it can be lit up...and i installed a switch right next to my shifter for control that....if anyone wants a write up.....let me know.

I never really understood why that is even an option on S2000 cars. Seems like an extra step that is just not needed.

I think its a "cool" factor type thing. No real functionality, but "cool."

My Cub Cadet had a push button starter switch.

Actually when the cheap ass key they have broke off in the ign. I wish it did have one! Why they did away with the support shroud around the key I don't know. I used the older style key for a replacement they're a little sturdier.
