Hey i just got my oil pressure gauge installed with my AEM Wideband. The other day i was getting on the highway and i noticed it was reading zero PSI, but everything else was fine with the car, no code, running fine. The thing has been in the car for only5 days and its not working....can the sending unit be bad from the factory?? I checked my wiring again and everything was fine...the gauge will light up, but wont read the pressure....any thoughts??

This is an aftermarket electric oil press. gauge? Put a test light on the wire from the sender, ground the other end, start the motor and it should get brighter or dimmer with the changing pressure - if the sender is good, (and there's oil in the motor lol!) I am assuming it did work to begin with?

I'm thinking bad sender unit. See if you can get another one.

check your ground. if you used teflon tape on the threads it might have lost the ground, as some senders ground themselfs though the threads

I had the same problem. Is it a AutoMeter electric gauge?? If so on the back of the PSU there is a round thing on the back where hook the wire to. Tighten that down, it might be loose. That was the problem with mine, I tightend it up and its worked great ever since.

i had the same prob with my autometer, if the thing the wire goes onto isnt loose, check the grounds with a mulitmeter

if you used teflon tape maybe it got in the hole and pluged it up.
