opionion needed

hey i'm looking to buy my first exhaust woot woot lol i have a completely stock 2000 chrysler neon anyway i found this add i'll post at the bottom for an exhaust from a guy near where i live. Me not knowing a whole lot don't no if its worth it or what lol i sent him an email and he said he bought another exhaust afterwards but when i asked him if it would for my car he said yea i would just need to buy a new pipe, is this true said it would cost me about 130. Also when i do instal it because i plan to do it myself i know it has a 2.5" inlet but do i just cut off my muffler ?

thats a knock off muffler... you can get one on eBay for a lot cheaper. if you go to a muffler shop to get it installed it should be anywere from 30-40 dollars and they take care of bending the pipes and welding.

yes
although, a lot of people here are against the universal muffler a.k.a. grapefruit shooter, a.k.a. fart can.... at one point i had two of them on my car. you can do a search and a couple of people have posted videos.
funny thing about the neon... any muffler sounds great

just save yourself the hassle and save up for a cat-back.

has some very good prices, and I've heard nothing but good things about the quality of their products and service. It'll also sound much better than that can, and produce more of an increase in performance because it will replace the section that necks down before the axle back portion of the stock exhaust.
