Vibrant exhuast

im getting the axel back muffler ordered today anything you guys can reccomend for a easy instal? any extra tools i may need? any tips? thanks

muscles and a socket.. don't know which one i'm at work, but i'm going to say somewhere around 3/8 to break the bolt that holds the exhaust on.
It takes me about 20min to swap the exhaust and that's taking my time. Prolly about 30 for a newbie.
Break the bolts loose than take the exhaust off of the 2 rubber hangers. Then you can just kinda turn the exhaust and pull at the same time and it should slide right out.
Then putting the new one back on. Slide the muffler on the 'b pipe' all the way then put the hangers back on and tighten the bolts
And Done.

I think it is either a 13mm or 15mm (i'm leaning more towards the 15mm)

Use a lot of WD40 for the hangers, douse all 4 of the metal hangers the ones on the body and exhaust you're taking off and use 2 screw drivers crossed in the center space and work it back and forth till you get over the mushroomed head of the hangars and then you're good as gold

never did that... will have to try that way sometime. I would just pull and rock the exhaust back and forth.

I get the exhaust on and off in 5-10 mins at most

yeah... WD40 saves a lot of time and wear and tear on the supports

A man only need 2 tools, duct tape and WD40
if it moves and it shouldn't use the duct tape
if it doesn't move and it should use WD40

silicone oil actually works better on the rubber insulators. wd-40 is petroleum based and can slowly eat through the rubber over time. silicone isn't.
u might need a hack saw to get through the exhaust clamp if they are rusted badly. if thats the case u will also need a new clamp.

about not using dubya D. i use car wash soap and water in a small spray bottle and it works fine on the hangers. use a standard 5/8 (around 14-15MM) spark plug socket on the nut on the clamp, works perfect and keeps you from having to find a deep-well socket. shouldn't take more than 10-15 minutes to do the whole job. if you're not a large person, you can probably crawl up under it w/o using jacks. i can get under mine even with a 2.5" drop on the rear.
